Vocalist required, male or female.
Not Relevant! formed as a band in July 2018. We are a covers band and formed after several like minded musicians got together to regularly start jamming together. Musical experience ranges from 2 to 30 odd years. We have been rehearsing almost weekly as a literal ‘garage band’ and have recently started to rehearse at Mushroom Studios in Rayleigh, Essex. I will stress that we are not yet gig ready but that is most definitely what we are working towards. Our bass player also gigs with a local band but he just enjoys any excuse to play.
We now have a repertoire of around 15 songs that we can play reasonably well. Styles vary across Rock, Southern Rock, Blues and soul. Music by The Beatles, Rolling Stones, early Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Free, Eta James, Dire Straits, Clapton, Jeff Lynne, all feature in the songs we can currently play. Individually, we have a wide range of musical tastes. We are currently now lead guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. Our ages range from 40’s to 60’s though age is not important to us. Just a good attitude is required. We are a friendly bunch and have no ego’s to feed!
Until very recently, we had a female singer too. Unfortunately, she has had some personal issues that have required her to step away from singing for a while. We hope she may be able to return at some point. Our guitarist does sing a couple of the songs but we have kind of ground to a halt.
So we are in need of a vocalist. Male or female though some songs tend towards female, others can be either and some perhaps best male sung. Could you join us and add to our mix? Do you sing and play? That could be a distinct advantage. We did have two guitarists but the second is soon to be Australia bound!
You may have been out of singing for a while and looking to get back into it. Or you may be looking for the experience of singing with a live band perhaps? A strong powerful, musical voice would be highly desirable😊
