We are two music composers and performers and we are currently creating an innovative and unique music show, a mix of a classical concert, a rock gig and an electronic live show. We will perform it at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and, if it goes well, we are hoping to organise little tours around the country. We also will do a couple of dates in London before the Fringe.
We are looking for a violin player passionate about film music to join our project, playing with us at the Fringe and hopefully at every other show we will have.
ABOUT THE CONCERT: It's an epic film music concert, so we will play film music (such as the Pirates of The Caribbean or Harry Potter's theme) and epic orchestral music (such as Two Steps From Hell). However, they will be played in a very innovative way, as we will be just three performers: you (the violinist), and us playing alternatively synths, guitar, MIDI keyboards using various virtual instruments, piano and electronic drums. In a nutshell, we will resize orchestral music to fit a three-person band.
We will also play a lot with lights and create a good lighting show to enhance our performance. The Hans Zimmer live show has inspired us for this concept (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjJnWuA7-ps).
ABOUT US: we are two Italian music composers and versatile performers. We play the guitar, piano and drums. If you want to know a bit more about us you can find us at www.intermundiamusic.com
ABOUT YOU: we are not looking for someone who performs only what's written in a score. We will not give you a score to perform. We want you to improvise, to be creative, to be inspired by the music and contribute actively. It's not a problem if your violin skills are not at the top, we are not looking for the first violin player of the London Symphony Orchestra, we value the ability to improvise more than the skills, as you don't have to play a specific part but improvise on it mostly.
If this project goes well, we'd love to have you on board permanently for future projects.
If you love film music, we'd love to hear from you!
