Hey, I’m Nic! I’m based in the Valleys and itching to get back into the studio. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 8 and love creating textured, melodic music with a big, stadium-ready sound. My influences include Johnny Marr (The Smiths), John Squire (The Stone Roses), and Aussie bands like Sticky Fingers, Ocean Alley, and Mako Road. I’m all about funky, jazzy cleans, filthy driving basslines, dynamic rhythms, and I also love a heavy, overdriven guitar sound with big, soaring solos from verve songs like “this is the music” and big rythym guitar think Stereophonics’ “Vegas Two Times.”
I play semi-hollow electric guitars, mainly through Marshall amps for a over driven sound. but I love blending in jazzy cleans through vintage Fenders or Musicman amps. My pedalboard features a Boss GT100 for ambient delays, choruses, looping, and textures. While I’m not tied to one genre, I prefer melodic songs over anything too heavy or scream-based.
Who I’m Looking For:
• Bassist, vocalist, keys/synth player, and drummer.
• Ideal bandmates would be aged 20 to late 30s (but I’m happy to collaborate with anyone older—no egos or controlling personalities).
• Must be sociable, laid-back, and open to experimenting with funky, jazzy, surfy, rock, and heavier overdriven sounds.
What to Expect:
I’ve written and recorded a few songs, mostly snippets of ideas and I’d love to collaborate and see what we can create together. My songwriting often draws from life experiences, and I look up to artists like Richard Ashcroft for his clever, descriptive lyrics. My ultimate goal is to record a set of original tracks, maybe even an album, and eventually play live gigs. There’s no pressure just good vibes, creativity, and big, bold sounds.
