Hello,
I'm a songwriter seeking a band to put together a studio group to record my first single (and if all well further tracks). I'm open to people who'd like to actually join the group and open to session musicians that charge a fee. Though it'd be much nicer to get some great musicians together and go at it together.
Seeking: Drummer, 2nd Guitarist (I play), Bassist & Keyboard.
The sound is indie/alternative/punk/blues it's gonna be part of that new wave punk indie revival that's happening right now ie Amyl and the Sniffers and Our Girl, Slaves etc. There is also a lot of emotion and sentiment in it though which I think is where it finds its difference. The songs can start twinkly and smooth but end enraged and full on.
I'll be looking to have a music video recorded before anythings released as well as contacting various press releases, get online campaign help and generally doing all I can PR wise to get this off the ground in the best way possible. What I mean is I'm going all out I'm not just aiming for local interest or reception.
I run a company that manages bands as well so I've got reasonable experience how to go about all this.
Most important though is that everyone's easy going, into the music and committed, no one likes a debbie downer and I'm a really positive person!
Ideally looking for advanced players and if joining the group officially 19-26 in age. I'm 22.
The music is really fun to play specially if you're a drummer there's lots of "big" endings and I can already here huge fills in the tracks.
Guitarists there's a mix of sparkly mellow beginnings and powerful tones that break out into the tracks. Not going for huge distortion necessarily on all tracks but that "The Who" tone cranked a little more, clean breakup on the sound. Courtney Barnett - Kims Caravan the ending is it spot on.
Anyone interested please give me a shout
