Hi all,
The short advert:
I'm a serious and experienced vocalist based in Leeds looking for a serious band with original material. Can provide recordings and more info, have own transport and can travel for the right band - Please send a message if interested.
The longer advert:
I'm an experienced singer and have sung in bands in England, Germany and Austria in front of up to 200 people. I am originally from Yorkshire and spent some years living in Germany / Austria hence experience there. I moved back to Leeds permanently last year and am now looking for a new band nearby. I have my own car so travelling for the right band wouldn't be a problem.
I'm female but NOT your typical woman singer so please don't look away now. I have a powerful voice and most of my influences are actually male singers, I can also growl as good as most men can and have done this as well as singing in two previous bands. I prefer to sing powerfully with a bit of "oomph" than soft and typically feminine, obviously the latter being something I can also do if needed. Although I can growl I'm not really interested in bands with just growling vocals, ideally a mix or just clean is fine too. I'm into an enormous range of music, lots of metal, rock and power metal, EBM, synth pop, my rule is generally I will listen to it if it is well written. This means I am pretty open minded, certainly with regard to what sort of band I become involved in (although I would prefer to avoid a pure covers band at this stage.)
I've been singing as long as I can remember and am looking for a band which would be more than just a part-time hobby and with the goal to play regular live gigs and try to actually go somewhere with it. I do still have connections in Germany/Austria meaning securing the odd gig there would probably be pretty easy for me. As a side note, I also speak fluent German should that ever be of interest for possible lyrics / tour in Germany...
I'm a confident person and this definitely comes across on stage too, I like talking to and involving the crowd and have enough experience of singing live to realise it's more than just standing there like a statue and singing! I am also fortunate enough to have perfect pitch meaning I can harmonise very quickly and also know straight away if tuning is off or I haven't hit various notes live or in recordings, of course that doesn't mean I can sing 100% perfectly in tune all of the time as only autotune can do that! I do my best though and am quite the perfectionist. I have mp3s and videos of my singing available - just ask.
I look forward to hearing from you all.
