Many Hands
(London)

Hi,
I知 currently looking for bands/artists to play an event I知 planning.
The point is to try and curate the night with some really interesting visual art and live music, in a relaxed and inclusive environment. The venue is DIY Space for London in Peckham. Which, i知 sure you know is an incredible and important venue.
As well as the music, I知 trying to find people that do all types of visual art. I壇 really like to find a projection artist and maybe someone that can make art as the music is on. I知 also into the idea of having a Zine stall and am in touch with a couple of artists about that, too.
It's going to be called Many Hands. They'll be a heavy focus on it being a collaborative, community effort. I壇 love everyone to contribute their own ideas. I'm in the middle of doing all of the promotional artwork myself by hand (though this is not my area at all and I think I need some help) and will be begin promoting the event online soon.
I kind of want it to have a punk-ish DIY feel, but I also want it to be experimental, psychedelic and heavy. I've been using some bands as kind of a frame of reference for what I want to feel/sound like. People like: Stereolab, Sonic Youth, Savages, Slowdive, Priests, Melody's Echo Chamber, Ty Segal, Fuzz, King Tuff, Krill, Thee Oh Sees. Ulrika Spacek etc.
The event would be pay what you want, with no minimum or maximum donation. All money raised would go towards artist riders and any profit would be donated to Robes, which is a charity that gives front line care and support to homeless people in South London.
If this sounds like something you壇 be up for getting involved in, then give me a shout.
Thanks
