We’re a group of experienced musicians looking for a bassist to finish the line up.
We rehearse in Nottingham.
We’re sort of ambient/post-rock mixed with heavy riffs (Russian Circles-esque) whilst also being into electronic music such as Rival Consoles, Jon Hopkins etc.
We’re after something dynamic and creative (without sounding like some sh*t corporate job ad). Ideally, someone in the style of Jacob Umansky or the dude from Karnivool - can lay down the beef and drive the track but can also do interesting lines and arpeggios when the moment comes. So, someone who has groove and chops with some technicality is a must.
Tone and gear is also important to us so someone with a good rig (Darkglass anyone?) or the willingness to invest in one is ideal.
We’re also looking at having our own rehearsal space which can be accessed whenever and where gear can be left securely and set up. This would probably be around £40-50 a month (more value for money than Pirate).
Here are some tracks. The first is very simple on the bass (despite everything I’ve said about interesting playing) but the tone is more the focus. It was written years ago. Hopefully they show the general sound in terms of ambient and heavy though this has developed lately.

We would prefer it if you could send a recording of your playing (soundcloud or just phone recordings).
We're looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers
