Hi all,
As the ad says, I am wanting to form a "No Nonsense" Rock Cover band with the intention of gigging. This basically means having members in the band who are able to learn crowd-pleasing songs quickly, know what bits they need to learn and spend the time outside of rehearsal learning and not wasting time. That being said...all whilst having fun!
Artists would be anything from 60s to recent, from AD/DC, Rolling Stones, Green Day, Oasis, Killers, RHCP, Guns n Roses, Foo Fighters, Stereophonics, Thin Lizzy, The Who, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, T-Rex, Blink 182, Feeder, Muse... you get the idea! Open to anything really from easy-going rock to heavier stuff, but I'm not into anything metal or stuff like that.
Being able to play a large array of songs so if someone shouts "play..." then we can.
Not really interested in original songs unless you already have it fully formed or you know exactly what you want, as these take too long to develop otherwise.
I am thinking of a 5 piece (2 guitars, keyboard, bass, drums - but be able to play different instruments, so if a song requires a sax or a 3rd guitar or something like that then we can). I play guitar, but can also play keyboard/piano and I am ok on vocals, but not really a frontman.
I'm a very easy going person, but passionate about music. I am in my early 30's so people around that age range is what would be good but open to anyone if you're a good fit. I've been playing guitar and piano for over 15 years and been in a few bands, but there is always ways to develop.
I am based in Cambridge but looking to gig in the wider area.
Send me a message if you'd be interested in this or if you have any questions.
Tim.
