Hello everyone! My friends and I are in a nerd-rock band called Re:Make! You can find us on the following links:

So onto the Ad! We are currently a 3-piece band (previously a 4-piece) and we are looking for a lead guitarist! We've played with a couple of lead guitarists before but they haven't been able to stay due to other commitments, so we're really looking for someone who can stick around!
We do have live experience already and have performed both in and out of the UK. (Performed at conventions in Germany, America, Poland etc..)
We already have an album out and are currently working on a second. We're taking this to as many places as we can to find for any who might be interested, but seeing as we're a nerd-rock band, there are a few things you'll need to know:
1. We call our style nerd-rock because the music we create is usually all about movies, video games, animes and cartoons! We figured if we're going to write about something, why not write about something we enjoy, and we enjoy all this geeky stuff.
2. We've played mostly conventions at this point, full of people meeting up to celebrate their favourite games and animes.
Conventions tend to have very friendly and welcoming atmospheres and they're a lot of fun away from the music too - especially since the crowd are all there for the same things our music is written about, though we are looking into doing shows outside of them as well.
3. We've set up a Youtube which we have linked above on which we will post covers of songs we enjoy, original songs, gaming videos, vlogs - just generic fun stuff to do with the band.
Our covers vary massively, one day we'll cover a song in the top 40, the next week we're covering a movie theme or a anime/cartoon opening. There'll be plenty of freedom in the choice of what songs we do.
4. As for style? It's rock/hard rock with the occasional slow song, feel free to check out our original tracks (located on our bandcamp - can also be found on all major digital platforms [iTunes, Spotify, etc..]) and some fun covers we've done! (Also on Bandcamp which I have linked above.)
5. I'd say our main inspirations music wise are Twin Atlantic, Fightstar, One Ok Rock, I Fight Dragons and Area 11. The latter 2 being nerd rock bands themselves - I like to think we play very similarly to these guys.
6. If you're able to do backing vocals too then that's awesome and always a bonus! If you aren't able to or just want to stick with the instrument, that's completely fine as well, you must also be able to solo confidently!
Not all of our songs have solos in them and you don't have to play exactly as we have done them, so don't feel as if you need to play them spot on, but they do need to be stylistically appropriate. For an example of what we're like live and the kinda of lead lines we'd be looking for, check the following links:

7. Dedication is a must! As silly as this ad must be coming off, we are completely serious about this band! We love the convention scene and performing at them - we've had such a blast and made some great friends over the past few years performing at these conventions and we want to keep it going. It's a great way to get out there, meet new people and perform to a crowd who are passionate about the same things you are. Like previously mentioned, we're looking to expand away from just convention gigs, but if you enjoy nerd culture and a good laugh, you can't go wrong with these crowds.
8. There will be regular practices whenever we can do them! This is mainly done at Powerhouse Studios in New Haw and is a 5 minute walk away from Byfleet & New Haw train station, the guys there are super accommodating and really friendly, we've become fast friends with them. The facilities are fantastic and it's a great place to go through everything we need to running up to events.
That's pretty much the jist of it! We realise there's quite a few T&C's, but if you're interested.. do hit us up and we'll try and get back to you ASAP!
Thanks for taking the time to give this a read 🙂
We hope to hear from you.
