Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are a rock band who are hard to define - Classic (i.e. late 60's type) Garage Rock might be closest.
We are looking for an organist. And if he or she wants to contribute some piano, ethereal keyboard wizardry or harpsichord, well we would be up for a bit of that too .
The style is hard to pin down since we want to be open to any musical avenue. We have always admired the way The Beatles, The Doors, Nuggets era bands, The Fuzztones and especially The Damned (think Black Album and Strawberries) use keyboards behind (and in front of at times) a rock band. In fact if you give Grave Disorder by The Damned a listen and you'll get a good idea of the type of rock band sound and intensity (and range) we are aiming for.
High octane, passionate, committed performances is the key feature. We want to be exciting.
We are aiming to perform 50% originals and 50% carefully chosen covers (i.e. covers you won't hear any other band do!). We have a whole bunch of material already written as a start but would love all members to contribute to the writing process once everyone is in place. We are doing this for fun rather than world domination - although... But seriously, although we want to thoroughly enjoy ourselves, we really do need people who are committed to turning up well practiced and who will ultimately want to gig a couple of times a month (at least).
If this sounds like something you would love to participate in and you are a keyboard genius who happens to own a Vox Continental organ (joking there of course but that sort of sound will be needed) please drop me a message on here or at:
