Hey all,
I am a 27 year old guitarist located in Dunfermline, Fife. I would describe myself as being a wobbly and undisciplined intermediate player and I'm interested in coming up with song ideas collaboratively by file sharing on audacity remotely due to the current lockdown restrictions. Pretty much just looking to have some fun making some music with no immediate expectations of getting anything out of it.
I have access to a decent amount of gear including an electric organ which I can get decent bass lines out off, a korg monopoly synthesizer (may end up getting sold) a Roland tr-808 for putting down drum tracks and a variety of electric and acoustic guitars.
I have basic but functional recording gear inlcuding an sm57 mic and 520DX (never did get round to playing the harmonica) and a presonus audio interface. I also have access to an analog multitrack recorder.
I have quite a broad musical taste but my main interest lies in the spectrum of blues, soul, classic rock, psychidellic, punk, garage rock and indie. A good representative of stuff I listen to would includeThe Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, The Black Keys, Ron Gallo, The Bravery, The Vaccines, The Killers (first couple of albums), Hanni El Khatib, The Cramps, Red Hot Chili's, The Doors, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Greta Van Fleet, Zeppelin, The Kinks, The Sonics, Trex, Cream, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Elmore James, Freddie King, Alabama Shakes, Alt-J, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Bombay Bicycle Club, Wild Beasts, Dandy Warhols, The Districts, Maximo Park, The Vines, The Hives and many many more
I am more than happy to collaborate with anyone, whether you sing, play guitar, keys, bass or drums, whatever, if you are interested give me a shout.
Here is a sample of something I knocked up to give an impression of the kind of vibe I'm going for/ my abillity level:
