Just putting the feelers out to see if I can find any musicians that may be interested... I'm currently in another band, but we're starting to head in a direction that doesn't quite fit my musical style, taste or image, so I'm looking for other people or an existing band who may be interested in writing and gigging as part of a heavier side project that I can work on with equal weighting at the same time.
Wide range of influences from Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, Kyuss, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Acid King, Truckfighters, Black Moth, Royal Blood, Smashing Pumpkins plus a load more... If you're into Oasis, The Stone Roses, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Arctic Monkeys and all that boring sh*te, you're in the wrong place because I'm not looking to put people to sleep. I'm thinking heavy fuzzy stoner-y blues-y riff based stuff that leans more towards a moderate/upbeat tempo rather than sludge/drone.
I play bass, can do clean vocals and am happy both to write my own stuff or write with others. Looking for guitar and or drums to collaborate with, but not against the idea of experimenting with two bassists/no guitarist/a drum machine/loop pedals. I write fairly riffy bass driven songs, but I'm not against toning it down when I need to. I have quite a defined idea of the type of sound and image that I want, but don't let that put you off, I'm not some massive control freak, I just like to have a laugh and enjoy playing music that I'm invested in with other people that are into the same stuff. Age range 19-27 please, not fussed about gender or experience level but would rather work with people of a vaguely similar age that have a genuine interest in and passion for the genre.
Get in touch if you may be interested and we'll grab a drink some time and talk fuzz.
