Unfortunately our excellent and much loved lead guitarist is leaving us due to family commitments. We are looking for a competent lead guitarist to join our gigging band. Whilst we are very sorry to lose him, going forwards we see this as opportunity for the band to embrace new ideas, gig more frequently and expand our repertoire.
We are very lucky in as much as we all get on. We were all strangers when we put the band together, and we hit the jackpot with the personalities. There is no (and never has been) any cliques, politics, ego problems creative differences or squabbling. We all respect each others opinions and want to enjoy making music without any aggro!
Our style leans towards the rockier end of mainstream (eg Blondie, Billy Idol, Martha and the Muffins etc) in order to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Our ages are 30s/40s, but age is not an issue as long as we find the right person for the job.
We DO need a guitarist who can play some great solos and rock out, but acknowledges that we are a band, an ensemble, and not a vehicle for a prima-donna on an ego trip. We DO NOT need any big-headed glory hunters who will try and upset the apple cart. We have an excellent rhythm guitarist and you must be happy to work together as a unit as well as seizing your opportunities to shine.
Our current guitarist is honouring gig commitments for the next couple of months so you will have plenty of time to learn the material/rehearse with us and not be chucked in at the deep end.
Cheers for reading, please get in touch for more info or to arrange a jam and see how we get along
