Hi there.
We have just put together a party/function type band and have decided that Keyboards would be the final piece to complete the line up.
We are currently 2 female vocalists, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, bass and drums.
Songs will vary but think mainly ones that will get folk up and dancing and keep the party going.
Doing this mainly for fun but want to get to gig and earn some pocket money.
Ability to do backing vocals (especially harmonies) would give you an advantage and you should also have decent gear and own transport.
Male or female welcome.
Our ages range from 33 to 56 so preferably around that age group but all will be considered.
Must be able to commit to the one band, to learning songs and then rehearsing once a week ( currently we are doing Tuesday or Thursday evenings 8-10 at Quad in Leicester ) and be free for gigs as and where they come up.
Sorry but not keen on anyone who thinks they can run in more than one band (no side projects) or whose jobs may interfere with rehearsing or weekends (no shift workers, been there and it doesn’t work).
So if you are interested in doing something fun like this with a varied set list (and are prepared to look the part !!) then get in touch, still early stages yet . Selected a few songs for auditions for you to learn if you’re interested……
1. Happy – Pharrell Williams – Key F
2. Get Lucky – Daft Punk - Key Bm
3. Long Train Running – Doobie Bros – Key G http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAtVyA_4Ijs
use this live version ending structure.
4. Titanium – Davis Guetta/Sai - Key Eb https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYiz7E-3bHg
This rock version is in D (original is in Eb) but we are doing this version in D.
5. Valerie – Amy Winehouse version – Key Eb
6. Love Me Like You Do – Ellie Goulding – Key Ab
