Hello!
Hope you’re well!
Im Andy, been playing guitar for 14 odd years now. I’m 25 and looking to get into something serious again.
I’ve got experience in recording, gigging, tours, and other business experiences.
I’m looking for serious musicians who are looking to have as much fun as possible but also be willing to commit and be determined to write good songs and be able to play shows and commit to rehearsals!
A bit about me:
Been playing for nearly 15 years and grew up listening to pop punk and other stuff like Radiohead, The Cure etc. I’m a massive gear head so I like collecting and playing instruments. I also have a little home studio and have recording experience from working on bands. I consider myself a songwriter but I love writing with other people to get the best out in a creative vibe.
My influences are Jimmy Eat World, The 1975, Pale Waves, Joan, Touché Amore, Deafheaven, Explosions In The Sky, Boston Manor, Trophy Eyes, 60’s to 2000’s classics n bangers, The Twang, Minus The Bear, The Strokes, RATM, and honestly at this point anything heavy like hardcore, metal etc. I’m really open minded with music and love different kinds
I’ve also played in the Scottish pop punk scene for the past 5 years and have a great community of friends doing great stuff so it’s important to me to be in a community and not think we are better than everyone else, ego is a no go for me.
I’m able to commute with public transport and have reliable gear!
What I’m looking for:
Down to earth people, people who are positive and love music and like exploring their creative ventures and enjoy inspiring each other and motivating each other to play! I think being able to contribute to the writing process and get involved when they can is important to making amazing songs. Gear isn’t anything for me just as long as what you use inspires you and has some reliability. Also like people who aren’t afraid to be themselves and get wacky but also go along with themes and styles or anything the creative vision calls for. Some may call me a snowflake and that’s fine but racism, sexism, homophobia or derogatory remarks like that doesn’t sit well with me and you’ll most likely be patched.
I know it’s a bit of a long post but I’ve been playing for ages in and out of bands and understand what I’m after! So if any of this resonates with you regardless of who you are hmu and let’s start something wicked 😎😎
