Daddy Round Round
(Nottingham)

A vocalist buddy of mine and I are starting a new project.
The aim of this project is to do something exciting, high energy and new involving some genre-smashing hybrid music.
We're aged 27 and 29 and between us have a lot of experience both in the UK and in Europe.
We're looking for people ideally between 21 - 30 based in Nottingham who are able to commit fully and understand that the intention of this is to make it a real thing; no f***king around for an hour at rehearsal and go home. There are big ideas and big goals here.
Open mind essential.
It's important that you have a good grasp of heavy music but it's more important that you aren't a dick about it. No "death to all but metal" nonsense because as well as metal you're going to need to accommodate a lot of other styles, including funk, reggae, and hip hop.
Seven-string guitars would be a plus or at least heavy gauge six-strings so you can tune a step down as this will probably be desirable at times.
Previous experience preferable but all levels welcomed to get in contact, as long as you're good at playing your instrument and willing to get in people's faces at live shows. A large part of what we want is visual.
Own equipment is a must.
Own transport highly preferable.
This IS going to be a serious band but the main motivation is to NOT take it seriously because life is too short to be moody and take brooding photographs like everyone else.
You need to be able to treat this like a business; be prepared to work hard, pay your way and have your ideas challenged, changed or even rejected. You need to be able to be constructively criticised without throwing a tantrum and you need to be confident enough to do the same to us. Speak up when you have ideas about how other member's parts should go. It's a team effort. Again though, this is meant to be fun, otherwise what's the point?
Please feel free to get in touch for further info or with any questions you may have.
