We’ve had a great 9 months: success on the minor festival scene and some well-received recordings has enabled us to work out what we're best at: people have started comparing us to Fleetwood Mac, which is also a terrible curse. Now we want regroup to play to our strengths with a new band.
We’ve proven there’s a huge audience out there for our style of music: original, upbeat, catchy songs with harmony vocals … building on a vibe from the 70s: as far from ‘The Voice’ and the Brit-school clones as possible. More FM, REM, Eagles, Lucinda Williams, and even the Stones (in country mode), but original - not a covers or tribute band.
We’re looking for a guitarist, or a keyboard player (amazing but no essential if you can do both and sing as well – a lot of our songs have 2 or 3 part harmonies). Our songs are not all about solos (though many have had amazing ones) it’s as much about atmosphere and creative fills as anything: more Doug Pettibone or (dare we say it) Lindsey Buckingham than Jimmy Page. Joe Walsh in dry mode is a possibility...
To enjoy a summer of festival gigs in 2018, we’d fairly quickly have to get performance to a professional level, and assemble/record promotion materials. We’d start with a lot of goodwill and contacts from the last year, as well as a large repertoire of tried and tested original songs to start us off, but want to continue writing and evolving.
There are lots of gigs available near (but less likely in) London and also in Europe with very hungry audiences. We have two booking agents interested but the reality is that we have to be our own managers, A&R, and touring crew for the foreseeable future and have a pragmatic, commercial attitude, whilst holding on to the creativity and drive that makes us want to do music. It has to be fun...
Send us a recording, and info, we will respond in kind
