We're a gigging band playing original music, looking for a lead guitarist to replace an outgoing member (he's wanting to focus on work/getting married etc.)
As a band we've been gigging together for well over a year, have a full original set list, have had radio play and recently released a 'single' with a music video (iTunes, spotify etc.) We've got to the point now where we're getting offered regular gigs, and want to find someone who would be interested in helping us really push the band next year - with a view of hopefully getting to play some decent festivals.
You'll see from our recordings that our sound is very lead driven, the rhythm guitar is fairly sparse/simple so that the bass and lead can really come through. With that in mind, we need a strong lead guitarist who can act as a big focal point for us musically, but without over playing. Our previous lead guitarist had a style that suited our music well - ambient/echoey verse riffs and then going big on the choruses - but we're open to ideas. What's important is that you can come up with material for an existing set list, can commit to regular practices and regular gigs (we don't want to be turning down gigs unless we absolutely have to) and want to have a laugh! We do want to try and have a big year next year (festivals!), but we do all really get on too.
Own gear is a must (ideally decent gear too), own transport is ideal although the rest of us drive so potentially workable for the right person.
Check out our channel on YouTube (search for 'Ghost Marshalls') and check out our music video for Getting Worse, and our demos for Mannequin, Stick Around and Can't We Be Happy. Bear in mind that the existing lead guitar in these songs is what will be getting replaced, it's up to you to do your thing and come up with some lead parts that compliment our sound.
