*This is a new years resolution, to get a rock band together for 2020. Ideally for individuals with not too many commitments like kids or a job with awkward hours. You must like heavy rock riffs and this being your jam.
35 year old experienced lead guitarist (23 years playing) in search of a new up and coming hard rock band with original songs. I really believe the songs/riffs I have written so far have a lot of potential for radio and getting noticed. Influences include Metallica, Queen, Soundgarden, The Darkness, Ghost, Jimi Hendrix, Volbeat, AC/DC, Black Sabbath or maybe these are just bands I love? Many more to list but I think you get a gist here what I like. My riffs sound unique I think.
I am a bit of a riff machine when it comes to writing new music, and would work well with other keen rock enthusiasts. A band of 5 is preferred so the singer can concentrate completely on vocals and everyone else sounding tight and awesome.
Singer - a vocalist who can write intelligent lyrics with catchy melodies and hooks to heavy riffs. My favourite singer is Chris Cornell due to his insane range and gravel he has behind it.
Drummer - somebody who hits the drums extremely well, and can keep the band tight together. Dream drummer would be Chad Smith from RHCP
Rhythm and lead guitarist - preferred would be a guitarist who is very good a playing rhythm but also enjoys playing lead fills and solos as I do not mind sharing roles for different songs. I do love a guitar harmony or two!
Bassist - A tight player with rock influences, with outside the box creative skills for bass lines.
Number 1 priority is to have fun! That is what it is all about at the end of the day. I want to go for the dream of getting a recording contract and touring the UK and possibly even worldwide. We only live once right?! Please only contact me if you are serious about this and have been playing your instrument for a good amount of time.
PS - Can send an audio of me jamming from my phone for you to hear what I sound like. I am v careful with my riffs as do not want anybody to steal them before recording.
