Hi. Ex pro-drummer looking to dust off the sticks and have some fun (post-covid). Full-time job and family so not looking for 3+ gigs a week but regular practices (weekly?) and odd gigs and jam sessions would be great. I'm looking to play for fun, practice and social interaction (remember that??) and see where it goes.
Style-wise it's got to be funk, soul, disco & house - anything with a groove. Probably covers. If you listen to the Craig Charles funk & soul show, or Gilles Peterson on 6music you'll get the gist - some random names listed below for a flavour.
I'm almost 40 if it matters - not bothered who you are, just looking for some good players who are into music and looking for fun(k) (sorry). Would be great to get guitar, bass, keys & vocals as a core but open to anything - whatever works. I have transport and kit but no practice space.
If this sounds of interest please PM with a bit of background/experience/clips/whatever - appreciate not much will happen immediately but happy to start talking & planning until the vaccines are rolled out and normal life can resume
Cheers
Tom
