We are looking for a competent and flexible drummer for a newly formed local covers band. So far we have secured 2 x guitarists, bass player and strong vocalist, now we just need that missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle. Despite only having a handful of practices together we pretty much have a half set well established so now we need that final input to boost us to gig level so we can get out there and spread the good word of punk, rock and metal covers. Influences and bands we cover so far are Greenday, Ramones, Gary Numan, Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, Sex Pistols, etc. A good mix of genres that with our enthusiasm and tone creates a diverse but working set list. We have loads of tracks we would love to work on as well as have fresh input by a new member to the band.
We are all established musicians having had years of playing in various bands. With that experience we hope to find someone on the same wavelength as us and can fit in the band as well as we all have. As we are all family men we aren't looking for a heavily gigging band, we have all discussed and agreed maybe one or two practice sessions a month with a gig or two a month once we have enough material. We have a practice space in weymouth which just cost us a couple of drinks to hire for an evening so everything but the drummer is in place.
Ideally as a drummer we are looking for someone with their own transport and equipment, understanding towards family commitments but the want to get out there and play to the crowds. A genuine interest in punk/rock/metal music is a must. We are all around our 40's and all been playing for at least 20 years each.
If you are interested please leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
