Hey, fans of The Who!
We are a band based out of South Cambridge/North Herts (working title "Whoever") and we've been working for the past couple of months to put together a 30 song set of classic Who material. Unfortunately, due to an unforseen change in his circumstances we have lost our Keith Moon and we're looking for a replacement.
We each have plenty of experience in the music industry and live stage performance and our vision is to put together a show of classic Who songs that celebrates the music of the band throughout their career, tailored to larger open air festivals and social clubs. We want someone particularly inspired to play the music of The Who live and loud, in the way it was intended.
We're in the early days of the project but we have everything we need (Amps, PA, Lighting, songs, drive and ambition) we just need our Keith Moon!
We realise this is a tough challenge but we're not looking an exact replica, we just need you to have a love for the music and the talent to pull it off. We encourage there to be creative freedom and room for improvisation just as there was in the original incarnation of the band in the 60's and 70's. We feel passionately about putting together a real show for the audience and we want to work with people who share that same passion.
All we would ask is that you know the material and you must be able to play to a click. This is essential for the tracks with synth backing (only about 6 songs).
If interested please get in touch via a private message here and we will provide contact details to discuss further.
Thanks
Dave, Paul & Brian
