Revised repost due to the ubiquitous time wasters. (I should have realised it's best to state 'No timewasters' in the ad, it must help...
I now have a drummer so we're after a guitarist to complete the line up. Confident, because there's no other guitarist to hide your mistakes behind (or blame shift), and reliable because we need you to actually turn up otherwise we'll be playing Seven Nation Army on repeat and the clients might not see the funny side. Original ad below:-
"I’m looking for a couple of people to work on a 3 piece band that will cater for function work and a potentially rockier set for pub gigs on the weekends that we don't get well paid work!
I’ve played solo acoustic gigs over the last couple of years and have done pretty well with weddings, christenings, anniversary and big ‘0’ birthday parties, so now I’m looking to set up a trio to extend into this area and also do a pub set of the rockier crowd pleasers for pub gigs on the gaps in the function calendar.
I don’t expect this to be your career, but music is my main income so I would need a certain level of commitment and flexibility, and while age isn't at all important, a sense of maturity and respect for the clients’ event is.
I’ll be playing bass in this band and the guitarist would need to be able to use the space created by a trio set up to fill out the sound, so there’s a great opportunity to be creative within the framework of popular covers.
You can hear me singing softly at the below link - I expect to be belting it out a bit more with an electric band though obviously!"
