Hello!
I am looking for a partner to join me on my business venture in the Music Publishing field, preferably working in property, commercial music or law sector, with an empty commercial space/ ex church or large period building in the South West, West or Central London area. I am open to offers and to business deals dependant on the candidate. I am also open to going in on a space with somebody/ a company to share the studio time etc… But let me give a quick synopsis into what I do and a bit about my line of work:
I am a classically trained composer and pianist with a strong background in music, (I have been working as a session musician and in-house publishing composer since I was 15). I have an analog studio, (with enough gear to kit out 2 analog studios – [can also be digital hybrid]), or a big all inclusive studio that can facilitate a live room for a grand piano, small orchestras, but double up as a place for bands to rent the space on a commercial basis.
As a writer primarily, it is my soul ambition to involve well deserving and like minded talented musicians who do not have the means to obtain going into a studio, (never mind analog studio at £1000+ per day). From this collective, (which I have already obtained), I would like to churn out publishing music for advertising, tv and film. Being the primary writer, I will obtain all of the rights and royalties to the production music and will contractually give appropriate percentages and/ or pay to those involved. Asides the production music, I would like to sublet the premises if necessary to commercial labels to capitalise on of the music industry and cut out the current commercial publishers. This will open up avenues of freedom for music as an industry, whilst preserving the analog tradition for future generations. This is something I am deeply passionate about.
The project itself will be long term and am looking for a space bigger than 1000sq ft preferably. I am myself offering a state of the art commercial studio and the connections, staff and maintenance costs that need to be covered in order to make this a sustainable business.
If you feel this is something you are interested in and have viable means in order to make this an obtainable join venture, I would love to hear from you. If you would be so kind as to send me a quick synopsis of what you feel you can bring to the vocation and/ or CV (not necessary), I would be most grateful. I understand this is an unorthodox venture and would in fact be most well suited to someone who cares about preserving culture, expanding the parameters of the music industry and being a part of an exciting creative, yet profitable venture.
Thanks so much for your time.
Han Bloom.
