Hi everyone,
My name is Chris (29F), I play mostly bass, a bit of rhythm guitar, a bit of DIY songwriting/producing.
Considering what we are going through, the dear Covid... I want to play with others, but i don't even want to bother thinking "when it will be over we can meet... " because no one has any idea when this virus will stop, and i don't want to wait.
So let's think about something online, right ?
Obviously we would all need to have garage band or logic pro X in order to record at home on our own... (yeah i know that's annoying to say that but i think it's a necessary condition in order to actually do something far apart from other bandmates)
We could also organise band chats and songwriting sessions through zoom.
and then share stuff online, simply, like youtube and/or soundcloud, and social media of course.
If then there are people interested, then great we will have songs we can play in front of others when the pandemic is over.
Otherwise well we just had fun creating things in a new and different way, no harm done.
I'm somehow assuming that you're also a bit of a nerd who likes musicians on YouTube.
When it comes to the genre of music, I'm pretty open minded and listen to a lot of things, but here is my main goal/inspiration :
old folk/blues/rock from the 60s and 70s : Janis Joplin, Led Zep, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Guns'n'Roses, Aerosmith, etc
to nowadays more modern/pop rock : greta van fleet, machine gun kelly, yungblud, 5sos, Harry Styles (I'm serious that's not too bad)
I'm happy if you wanna bring some weird instruments in the mix. So vocals, drums, guitars, trumpets, sax, mandolins, cello, ... whatever you think could help a rock project with a wide mind. (I'm still doing the electric bass though ) Also if you write your own lyrics that would be great. Or if you are just a songwriting but not a singer/instrumentalist and that you dig my little project, come say hi too.
Preferably in your 20s, 30s, but I mean, everyone is welcome.
Men, women, trans, cis, straight or LGBTQIA+, come as you are, as a friend, as...
Send me a message on here, or on facebook (Christelle Maris).
Cheers!
