Hey, hopefully if you have read the title you at least have a vague idea what it is we are going for!
I’m going to try and flesh this out relatively well so by the end of it, if you feel its for you, we would love to hear from you.
What we are –
Vocalist, guitarist and drummer, ages range from late 20’s to early 30’s. We have ‘actual’ professional equipment and have either been in bigger bands or held a position in the industry.
We have a nice selection of appropriate contacts for when they are needed and want to have a group of people who are confident and dedicated in the project enough to use them.
The niche of this project is to be anonymous, so our faces and names would never be known and we are aiming to tailor to this with our live shows with ‘theatrics’ in mind.
We have been in incredibly over technical bands in the past and the working word for this project is ‘accessible ‘. We want this to be fun to play live but clearly written well enough that even entry level ‘metal’ listeners can enjoy it.
If you want some influences… karnivool, incubus, linkin park, northlane, leprous on one end of the spectrum and phil Collins, Fleetwood mac, the beautiful south on the other end.
There is an incredible amount of detail that’s being taken and it has been fleshed out well, we currently have several songs which have been ripped apart a hundred times and put back together to make them more cohesive and we feel it reflects the sound we are aiming for well, so we are more than happy to send you a demo if you are interested.
There really is a lot of detail to this project and I wont bore you with anymore, if you are still interested at this point though amazing!
What we ideally want you to be!
Similar age preferably but its really not essential so please don’t let that deter you. Professional equipment (we aren’t talking ridiculous boutique instruments) just equipment that would survive the road. Being able to play to a click and being tight. This project relies heavily on backing tracks for pads, synths, backing vocals and lighting etc etc so the need to be in sync live is something we can’t stress enough. Be familiar with IEM, but again this is not essential so please don’t let that put you off.
Have some stage experience and not be afraid to experiment with stage show.
Not being shy in front of a camera is essential although you will have the added benefit of not having your face shown if that is something that makes you feel uneasy.
Being technically able is a given but more importantly, knowing when to reign it in and serve the song.
And finally…just being an awesome person, this band will be as much yours as ours, we want to become friends through this and enjoy the experience together. The music is great, but what is this worth if we cant grab a beer and hang out?
Sorry if this was a lot to digest but I feel too many adverts on this site don’t really give a good indication of what they are aiming for and we wanted to avoid that from the beginning! If you are still interested at this point and would like to hear a song and get some tabs etc get in touch
