Bass Guitarist with Backing Vocals Required for New Jovi – The Ultimate Tribute to Bon Jovi
We are looking for a bass player to fill the Hugh McDonald (or Alec John Such) role in our Bon Jovi tribute band. This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting new project with attractive, well-paid theatre gigs already lined up for next year!
Due to an unforeseen change in personal circumstances, our current bass player has sadly had to step away and he will be sorely missed, but this has created an exciting opportunity to fill those shoes!
About Us
The best musicians from previous Bon Jovi tributes have come together to form New Jovi, the ultimate tribute to Bon Jovi. New Jovi bring back the on-stage chemistry of the formidable duo that were Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora in their greatest era. With energetic performances of all the hits and much more, New Jovi deliver a show which captures the energy and feel of a live Bon Jovi show. For a little more info on who we are, check out our website: https://www.newjovi.com.
You need to be:
• A very good/excellent bass player with the ability to play the Bon Jovi material, ideally with a 5-string bass.
• Willing to look like Hugh McDonald on stage, in both appearance and equipment.
• Able to sing backing vocals and handle the high Hugh/Alec parts.
• Flexible with the setlist and willing to learn new material.
• Willing to commit to many gigs per year and to prioritise them over other projects. We are looking at around 40-50 theatre shows per year, plus other gigs, most likely weekends.
• Willing to travel.
• Located within the UK, but ideally somewhere in the South of England (we are currently spread between Milton Keynes, West Midlands and Exeter) but location isn’t too important as long as you can make the gigs!
A real bonus would be that you are a Bon Jovi fan or at least enjoy Bon Jovi's music and would enjoy performing it on a regular basis. We’re a great bunch of guys and we’re looking for someone who will fit in and enjoy being in the band with us!
If you feel like this is for you, contact us now for an informal chat. We’ll need to see some demos showing both playing and singing, but we can discuss that.
Cheers,
Gary
