Waddup.
So that's the first part of our introductory conversation over and done with. Now the good stuff.
My name is Lee, I'm 24 and a little too bald for my age. I've been playing guitar/ writing songs and gigging since I was 14, gaining a wide amount of industry knowledge, experience and contacts through the years from playing countless gigs/tours and spending enough time in the studio to drive anyone mad. I've played everything from Pop punk to Mathcore but the band I'm looking to set up is more of a straight down the line alternative punky style with quieter tunes to avoid monotony. I'd be playing guitar and supplying gritty vocals/ screams and stuff.
Traditional rock set-up with 2 guitars for the meat and bass and drums for the pocket. If you play keyboard still message me, I can't figure out how it would work myself but maybe there's something you can bring to the table other than slightly cheaper rehearsals that gets you into the band.
I'm prioritising finding a second vocalist before anything as I'm wanting dual lead vocals, fight star style (though I sound more like an extremely constipated Alex than a Charlie, my harsher vocals crossed with some cleaner vocals will work out quite well) and whether that turns out to be the other guitarist or bassist matters about as much as having a big dick in a cunnilingus contest.
There's not particularly going to be a lead guitarist or a rhythm guitarist, we're both just going to play whatever makes sense. It's probably worth mentioning here that I find guitar solo's terribly boring as a song writing tool so there won't really be much room for you to bring that guitar god "foot on the monitor as you solo" pose you've been practising in the mirror for the past five years. Sorry not sorry.
I personally feel it's not worth mentioning but I don't care about your gender, sexuality etc. Only people I'm excluding is anyone who might have an issue with these things, so try not be a dickhead and we're good.
Based in Leeds, likely practising at Pirate Studios unless you have an awesome basement we can jump in for free.
Let's get chatting, I've got some scrappy demo's with guitars/ bass I've recorded at home but other than that, I'm hoping we can write together so they're just a showcase of the kind of style I want us to be going for more than anything.
Peace out x
