Upright Bass and Drummer Needed for Rock n Roll Band (Mid Cornwall)

I am an experienced guitarist playing in a couple of busy projects but looking to put together something a little different and fun. I'm working with a talented female vocalist as a duo and we are looking to beef up the sound.

We are thinking Imelda May (naturally) but we'd also like to take some modern numbers and turn them into classic rock n roll / Rockabilly tracks.

We need a Double Bass player who can give it that Rockabilly slap and also a Drummer who understands the subtlety of Rock n Roll rather than just punching out rock beats.

We already have gigs booked for next year that would definitely suit a band rather than a duo. We have lots of great contacts in pubs and hotels all over Cornwall. You'd need to be ready to commit to about 20 - 30 gigs in 2013 to start with though with the right band, this could easily increase.

I'm interested in your ad man.

Like you, I'm busy with a couple of other bands but looking to do something different. I'm a very experienced drummer based near St Day. Have earnt a living from playing in the past and want to get back to somewhere near that again.
