The something old is me (55), the something new is the sound. I started paying guitar late, been playing for about 15 years now but I missed the boat on the mates jamming in the garage band thing. And I only started playing as a hobby but I reckon I have a good sound now, hard to explain. Brit pop I suppose is the closest but then I use a lot of Indian type scales, gives a spiritual flavour. New age? Maybe, but I’m not a hippy lol Some rocky some melodic... Punky at times but not that raw.
I’m looking for people who genuinely want to do something different, yes gig, the sound would kick ass at fringe festivals, we could cut a demo and send it around.
I reckon this boat will float, but it really needs the right kind of open minded musicians, and like minded people who have the time to put the hard work in.
So.... I play a mix of rhythm and lead guitar, but then there is room for a sh*t faced blistering lead if the person can also sing. I write songs and sing, I don’t really find it hard to write luckily.
So, female vocals, keyboards, drummer, bass etc. The chances of getting the right people are bloody slim, but it’s worth a try, who knows....
If you think this is you then don’t message me here, I don’t come on here often lol, use my email steveberg@hotmail.co.uk
Need to be close because I don’t have a car at the moment, I ride a motorbike. However, if I find the right people and this thing is going to take off I will buy a small van or car on the spot!
If you think that what I am going to say is dumbass, then the project is not for you, but I think that the time is ripe for a challenging brit pop band with spiritual/political over tones. I think this could be BIG! If I didn’t think that I wouldn’t bother. I want to rip the sh*t out the dumbass world view like the Pistols did back in the day!!!!! So no I don’t want to ponce about with covers to pub folk.
Well there it is......
I would say that there’s no chance of finding anyone in the valleys..... and yet weird sh*t happens sometimes...?
(No I’m not from here, I come from London originally)
