Please don't reply here. Send email to Musicproject@email.com
I have been searching for years to find a great singer/songwriter to work with and have yet to find anyone that fits the bill.
Style of music: Adult Contemporary
So anything under that umbrella = pop, rock, indie, acoustic, ambient, electro
I have listed an old list of influences at the bottom of this post. It hasn't been updated for years but gives a rough idea at least.
When you get in touch please send links to material letting me know what part you had in the recordings etc.. And tell me about you..
I can send links back of previous work, current ideas etc..
I'm an ex producer, session musician and songwriter.
I had quit music due to the dishonesty of the music industry etc.. But It's something that is so deeply ingrained in me the truth is I have a bit of an obsession of doing my own project.
My main instruments, Piano, Bass, Guitar, Backing Vox...
I'm hugely ambitious which is something that I struggle with other singers and musicians, The lack of drive and work ethic to want to succeed.
I have been in the music industry and still have a few contacts to call upon but this should have no baring of wanting to work together.
I can write lyrics, but because it doesn't come as natural as music and melody I have to spend a lot more time and effort therfore don't enjoy it as much.. In fact forcing myself to do it is making me realise I don't really enjoy that part of songwriting at all.
I've completely stripped back my songwriting and am looking to have a huge collection of songs in their simplest format, just piano or acoustic and then decide with whoever I end up working with how to proceed production wise etc...
I miss collaborating and it would be amazing to find the person or people to collaborate with long term and go for it fully, meaning I'm not looking to work with singers that are trying to work with as many producers and musicians as possible.
I'm searching for talent that is looking to commit and succeed with a project.
Also need to be brilliant live and willing to live the lifestyle of gigging, touring etc..
Im open to the kind of lineup / live setup.
Piano based or synth/electro based
One idea I had is synth setup. So 1 or 2 singers that play synth/keys aswell as myself. Either all sequenced, or with a bassist and drummer.
Or grand/upright piano, full band sound.
I am based in the UK so ideally searching for someone who is based or moving to the UK, although I'm open to working with anyone who is serious.
Open to male or female.
I will say this.
If you pronounce the word
good = guoid. when you sing.
I won't be interested.
I absolutely hate this modern pronounciation that every young singer is trying to emulate now. If it drives anyone else mad let me know so I know I'm not the only one this irritates the sh*t out of 😏

Good luck with your search. You sound similar to me, I've been advertising on here for what seems like years now with no response to my ads - you're wasting your words. I look at my messages outbox and it's full of requests to collaborate with people who can't even be bothered to respond to enquiries from their own adverts. This whole place is dead and the format seems outdated. There are other so-called Collab sites but they are full of junk and people posting videos of covers and all sorts of crap like 'check out me latest beats brah', there is no proper format or system to any of them, they are pigstys. There is a huge gap in the market for a real moderated collaboration site, I wish I had the technical know-how how to create it. Good luck with your search though I'm almost at the very end of my sound recording days, it's just wearing me down trying to find people who want to actually write and record seriously.

I feel your pain.
Trying to find anyone online doesn't seem to attract anyone genuine at all.
Very rarely I may come across talent but they end up being flakey and absolute time wasters.
I had given music up years ago and madey piece with it, but in lock down playing and writing more and I desperately want to do a worth while project

Ok, well, here's the way I see it. When I started online collaboration about 10 years ago I was pretty ahead of the curve when it was apparent that you could transfer files between each other and create music by recording in your own set ups, it was pretty easy to find decent singers that wanted to write, create and work towards a finished song. I had some really great success in recording and writing with people who were like-minded. What seems to be happening now, i don't know for sure, but I suspect that people are procrastinating and wasting their lives watching netflix boxsets and drifting off down Youtube rabbit holes and getting absolutely nothing done, there is no work ethic and absolutely no communication whatsoever. I can't tell you how many times I've tried and tried by setting up dropbox folders full of songs with full backing tracks and song structure sheets in all sorts of different genres, and my music recordings are pretty good, I have about 3 grand worth of guitars, mics, bass, synths and so on. I can do all the editing, mixing, mastering and everything that needs to be done. There are countless times when I have spent weeks perfecting a recording, laying down mic'd acoustic guitars and bass, adding other instruments, as you do - only to then send the track to a singer. You get an initial response back promising to write lyrics and put vocals down and then...nothing, sometimes weeks of silence, no communication whatsoever. I find it absolutely frustrating but it is now becoming the norm. The so-called singers want to have a polished portfolio of songs on Soundcloud or wherever but don't want to actually put any effort into any of it. I feel as though music recording is dying and these bedroom producers just want to strap 'beats' together with clips of vocal samples from anywhere they can download them and there is no thought put into songwriting, arrangement and end finished product i.e a song. I have registered and advertised on so many sites, i feel the situation is becoming worse and worse. I would be really interested to hear views or opinions of any singers out there and how they actually are experiencing the world of online collaboration. It just seems to be a minefield of timewasters.
