Poetic Licence NEED a commited, reliable dedictated rythym guitarist (or someone good enough to share lead) who can practise once a week, either on a Monday or Tuesday night! PLEASE let some one really reliable and good be interested in this!! We have had to get rid of our recently joined new player, as they are too unreliable and let us down a lot.
We usually practise at the garage, in South Shields. It’s really important that you can tell us at the start of each week when you are available or even better if you can commit to a one night per week, say every Monday or Tuesday for example. (As thats the only night we are all free)
We started off as a covers band, which did things a bit differently and put our own stamp on tracks, but we are now also working hard on original material. We have six original tracks recorded & mastered. And have just started work on another 3 originals
If you can improvise or match/ create music to lyrics and write music you would be perfect for us. But this isn’t a must, if you can jam were happy. We have just had to cancel Saturday 14th Dec'd gig, due to the above problem and are holding of booking gigs at the moment due to 6 months out, but have done a few and have plenty of interest waiting. Last gig was Head Of Steam in Newcastle. Went down VERY well.
We have loads of business cards, flyers, postcards and band t shirts ready for advertising. We were gig ready and looking excellent, but now we have to look for a new recruit!

We intend initially for gigs to do one 45 min cover set and one 45 min originals, or mix and match. Eventually the aim will be originals but will have 30-40 covers to fall back on if clients loiking for just covers sets.
