Hi peeps
So recently, I have started missing the original music industry after my previous band folded a couple of years ago and I have been making my living off wedding bands/Theatre bands etc.
I would like to start something from scratch and require some awesome, creative and dedicated members who can sail with me on this journey. Genre-wise I like the idea of it being a mix of The 1975, Bastille and Mumford & Sons (Most recent album - Not the folk stuff - although it is great!). I am looking for something anthemic, groovy and quite commercial.
I am looking at maybe a four/five piece:
Drums: (Me)
Vocalist - Someone who has exceptional vocal ability (I'm leaning more towards the idea of a male vocalist), knows how to own a stage, really knows how to work a crowd
Guitarist
Bass player
Keys/Synth
Age 18- 26
I am looking for all members to have great stage presence, have great contribution towards song writing. Preferably all/most of the members will drive and have their own vehicle. It would be great if all/most members have pre-established relationships with other bands/promoters etc.
I like the idea of having various drums dotted around the stage and played by various members of the band when able to so although other members don't need to be drummers themselves but would be great if they were willing to give it a go.
I also like the idea of having sampled parts played alongside our performance to help thicken the texture out and widen our abilities on stage (all sampled parts would be recorded by us). These can be triggered by my Roland SPD-SX. I also have other state of the art Electronic drum equipment which could be Incorporated into the live set alongside the acoustic kit.
I don't see the point in going out gigging with only one or two original songs and the rest being covers. I see that as unprofessional and can only harm your band's reputation. Ideally, I would like to lock ourselves away in a studio (which I have the facilities for at home) and record as we write, creating demos along the way and get a full albums worth of material fully recorded and mastered before we even go out gigging. Maybe even only then gigging once in a while to start off with (only where we have a demand) making sure that we sell out every show (Quality - not quantity).
I only want members who are not afraid to go the extra mile

All the best
