Hi all,
Quick intro: 26 (going on 27) year old rhythm and or lead guitarist looking for an escape/fun with like minded musicians.
Firstly I think it is best to be honest. In my younger years I had huge ambitions to be on stage as part of a band making our own music. After many (failed) attempts to do so, I came away from gigging went on to get a long term job and live life in that a-typical fashion.
What I have realised is that I have no appetite to create my own music, but to replay the music that meant a lot to me. Hence my proposition….
I would really like to be part of a band of like minded musicians who want to gig but don’t want to pressures of constant tours/week in week out gigs.
My main genres are pop punk which I think there is a crowd out there for. I’ve dabbled in other genres but always come back to what I picked up the guitar for. Bands such as Sum 41/Blink 182/Simple Plan etc
Songs that pretty much every-man and his dog knows! Makes crowd participation a lot easier!
A band that is keen to gig for fun and enjoy getting a crowd involved playing covers of songs that everyone recognises. Example of a band in the US:

This is what I would be really interested in creating here. Sound interesting to you? A 4/5 piece band I don’t mind being part of.
Similar age range (24-35) and similar commitment level preferred (no one half arsed but also no one wanting to make it to Reading Festival - can’t commit to to that level sorry!)
An honest goal of mine is to play on a local/county stage (something like GlastonBudget) which I think is realistic in a couple of years time.
My commitment to you all as a band member:
1 to 2 practice sessions per week
At least one gig per month
Have my own gear/transport (playing modellers rather than amps for ease)
Happy to pay for a round of drinks to!
My job requires me to be on-call once a month so sometimes I may not be flexible on those weeks (rest assured I will let you know this before hand!) I want to be honest with you, for some people, they have to work and music has become a hobby to us. Why not make that hobby a bit more enjoyable?
Look forward to hearing from who ever is out there and interested!
