Hello, my name is Paul and I'm interested in joining with other musicians to collaborate in making music. First, a bit of background...
I've been playing guitar and bass to a decent standard for about 25 years, playing in anything from pub covers bands to original folk duos. I play passable keyboards, less passable drums, ukulele and mandolin. I can hold a tune for backing vocals. I've gigged a lot in the past and played studio sessions too.
Recently I've come to the point that I just don't enjoy it anymore. I'm tired of cold, grotty practice rooms. I don't want to pay studio fees. I don't like playing music to a crowd who try to talk over you. I just want to make and record music for the fun of it. I don't want to be a star. It will never be my career.
I have the feeling that there may be others out there like me and so I'd like to put the feelers out to see if anyone wanted to make music via collaboration. Online or in person, I don't mind. I have decent recording facilities at home and the results haven't been too bad:

I have no fixed ideas about what music to make as I listen to so many different genres and get inspired by all of them in different ways. I tend to fire off ideas from others and that's why I'm interested in collaboration.
I'm easy going and I like to expand musical ideas and just see where they go. I'm not looking to form a band, or gig or anything like that. Really just want to see if people have a idea and want to record it or would like to come together for a track or two and go separate ways.
I have a full time career and a family so this could never "take off"... and I wouldn't want it to! 😁
Is anyone out there interested? Please get in touch if you are.
