Metal bassist available! (Bedfordshire)

Hi

I'm a 22 year old bass guitarist looking to join a metal band. I have a wealth of live and recording experience having played in bands for the last 6 years as well as fronting my own band for the last 3. As well as having a lot of live/recording experience, I do a lot of recording and mixing at home. A couple of tracks are available on request.

Equipment wise, I have a quite a few basses (passive and active) to suit a lot of tones as well as my own professional bass rig. My influences range from the likes of Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Pantera, W.A.S.P., Cannibal Corpse etc all the way through to a lot of softer, classic rock bands such as Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits etc.

I've played in a lot of different styled bands over the last few years ranging from a soft rock band through to a couple of speed metal bands, hardcore bands, death metal, power metal and old school heavy metal bands. I'm totally self taught reading from tablature and my main method of playing is finger-style instead of using a pick. Just what I find more comfortable.

I studied music technology at college and passed the course so that's helped a lot when it comes to the recording side of things. The only thing I don't really have is my own transport so I'll have to get the train or a bus to wherever it is I'm needed to go. I will be learning to drive during the course of the year though so that'll help once it's all done.

I am currently in another band but I would like to join another one to help my own playing skills and to get out there playing more gigs/recording more.
