Hi All
I'm starting up a 'Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band' Tribute Band - Yes you read it right!
I'm based in Colchester and currently have a drummer and bass player (from my current covers band) so I'm looking for the below musicians:
Keys
Piano
Guitars & Vox x 3 ( Nils. Steven & Patti)
Sax
I'm 31, Age/Sex are not important and don't worry i'm certainly not looking for lookalikes its all about the right players coming together and the chemistry we build up on stage to give our audience a good time and doing our best by the Boss and The E Street Band.
This is going to be a long term project looking meticulously at every aspect of each song and the performance in order for us to grow into any kind of authentic tribute. Its going to take time and dedication from everyone involved so please make sure this is something you really want to be part of. I don't expect to find everyone in one go so as we start building the band we will work together finding the right members.
As there will be a lot of us getting together potentially from quite a wide spread area It may be too much to get together weekly so I would anticipate monthly rehearsals hiring a larger studio at as much of a central location as possible with us all doing our homework between rehearsals to bring it all together.
Own transport and equipment is essential, I have a PA system Suitable for small to medium sized venues and my own monitors but you would need your own Mics/ Monitors/ Stands etc. Obviously as the band develops we can work out what we actually need to get on the road.
Currently I run and front a working covers band based in Colchester called Ticket 2 Ride please feel free to have a look on Facebook (www.facebook.com/bandticket2ride) at what I'm currently doing.
So I guess this is me putting the feelers out there to see who is around and get the ball rolling. The end game is naturally going to be larger events/functions/festivals/Theaters especially as not many smaller places would be able to fit the 9 of us let alone pay. When I've got an idea of who is around then I will start organising auditions/meet ups
If you are still reading by this point then hopefully it means this is something you might want to be a part of. I can't promise the world or Wembley Stadium but we can all have fun and enjoy seeing where it can take us.
Feel free to ask any questions. If you are interested please also send any links to videos/sound recordings that you might have.
Look forward to hopefully hearing from some of you.
Cheers
Kieren
