Hello, lets go!
U2 are too old to keep the flame alive and woudln't it be a shame for the torch to pass to a non-irish band? Ie an English band? Or a literary American band? Van Morrison is a bit dull and Daniel O'Donnel lacks testosterone and an audience of real people. I believe that music comes from the gods and should reflect that.
I'm looking for a keyboardist and guitarist. I've got some great songs written and I'm looking for others to join in. This would be a rock band. It would not be grunge, metal or indie: its rock.
There's space for each member in the band. If you are part of it, it cannot function without you. All that is required is that you would be prepared to follow it if it took off. That means, turning up to practice, getting past arguments, touring, recording, fame.
Its a creative band. The focus is on writing songs more than just jamming and not creating.
GUITAR:
I'm not sure what sound I'd looking for but I will know it when I hear it. I think the best sounds that have come out have been Jimi Hendrix, Robbie Krieger, Neil Young, Dick Dale, in my own opinion so I'm gravitating towards that, or something else that hasn't been heard yet.
This band is for riffs, jazz, blue notes, heavy driving riffs, eastern flavours like Phrygian + whatever is uniquely yours in your playing.
KEYS:
To hear back from any keyboardist would be fantastic. I like the Hammond organ sound, but its probably too dated now. We'll need a new sound. Something strange and cool. If you could be aquainted with classical and Bach it woudln't be terrible.
I think 20s-30s would be a good age range.
Feel free to get in touch. I have a place in city centre that I can book if you feel interested enough to show me how you play. I'll cover the cost, its not a problem.
Cheers,
James
