Hi, my name's Andy. I've played in cover bands as a drummer and been the karaoke vocalist as a Karaoke and Disco DJ. Inspired by the Leamington peace festival I danced my heart out at over the weekend end I've decided to try and start a band a take the lead vocals role as I think I can bring a good energy, spirit and life to it.
I'm looking for the right musicians to play the following songs and more.
Del Amitri - Nothing ever happens
The Specials - Rat Race, Gangsters
The Jam - A Town called Mallice
Example - Love kickstarts again
Arrested development - Mr Wendell
4 Non Blondes - What's going on
The Pogues - Dirty old town
The Smiths - This Charming Man, Heaven knows I'm miserable now
UB40 - Kingston town
Seahorses - Love is the Law
Blur - Parklife
And more
So drums, guitar, bass, piano, harmonica would be nice, violin would be wow, and any more welcome
There's a story behind the name.
Basically I suffer with a condition called Reoccurring Chronic Sinusitis. When I was 14 I had a nose operation that should never have taken place as I was to young. The operation stunted any more growth in my nose long before I finished growing and this caused severe sinus and breathing problems which got worse after another operation aged 21 after a broken nose and septum which happened during a football coaching course. The operation was not just unsuccessful but very damaging and my sinus and breathing problems got much worse. They tried 2 more operations but they kept on making things worse not better and submitted they could not help and were scared to operate again for damage they were doing each time and worried my now fragile bone structure in my nose would collapse.
As a result of my condition I have struggled to keep a Job throughout my life for such regular Chronic Illness and though work assesments have only recently been declared as having limited work capabilities.
Hence the name RESTRICTED. I want to start a band and be the lead singer to show that you can overcome! Music is one thing that keeps me going through the adversity and struggle in my life and brings out an energy that overcomes what I feel in my body.
I live in a large (for us) dedatched dormer bungalow with an extended garage but we could practice in the large living room.
Please message me if your interested.
Thankyou,
Andrew
