Thought I'd put this out there again in case there's someone out there.
We're a 3 piece band (vocals/bass, guitar, drums) called The Elephant Trip. We play original material. Our sound is mostly based around late 1960s bands, particularly The Doors (largely due to vocal register) and with elements of The Jimi Hendrix Experience (probably more due to guitar sound) but also the surf music of the early 1960s. This is mostly a song based band but we tend to write by jamming out ideas then structuring songs around that.
We have an album in the making (home recorded but very good quality), currently writing final lyrics ready for vocals.
We rehearse in Cowley and have the equipment and space in order to do that easily.
The 3 of us work well together, we're easy to get along with. We don't do many gigs, partly due to other commitments but also because we prefer to do gigs that we feel we fit in with and would enjoy ourselves. Our last gig was supporting thelightshines at Sebright Arms in London, before that we played the Oddball Festival in Oxford.
What would be *really* nice, would be to add some keyboards, particularly organ (Hammond, Vox Continental, Farfisa) and electric piano sounds but don't let that put you off if you're not familiar with any of them.
Lately I've found that the iPhone apps for these sounds are excellent and as a result it means all that is needed is an iPhone with the apps (which I have) and a controller keyboard (I currently only have a 41 mini key keyboard though but I am considering buying something larger). So in theory, you may not even need any equipment, although a larger controller keyboard would be great.
Here's a YouTube link (you may have to highlight the link then right click it and go to the page, depending on what browser or app you're using) to a video, shot from the crowd, of our set at Oddball back in June, bearing in mind it's a live setting through a single mic.

Any gender is fine so if this sounds interesting please do get in touch!
Best wishes,
