In my late 20s, Been playing for guitar 10 years plus, played in bands, done over 100 gigs easy. I love riff based rock music, play mostly in drop D these days but happy in standard tuning. Looking for Jam partners, be it guitarists,, vocalists, bass players, drummers solo artists looking to partner up, anything would be a good start. I would love to work with songwriters or vocalists who need that extra element to bring things together I Am currently in a gigging band so not too worried if it's a new band project or just jamming, recording, coming up with ideas, anything really so long as it's not Jazz (i don't have a problem with Jazz, i just don't play it) Mostly influenced by blues based heavy rock, 80's and 90s rock, right up to current bands but i can't stand "screamo' or any music that is all about anger and shouting! It MUST have a melody and at least some parts that you can sing along to! Anything with a good solid groove or some nice driving riffs. I like some folk music and classic rock type stuff and would be happy doing a melodic acoustic project if that's what you have in mind. I DON"T do covers at all, never been into playing other peoples music though i would consider it if it was covers of bands and songs that i like. I am self taught and play mostly by ear but i'm fairly quick at picking things up. I don't do thrash or shred or do wild solo stuff though i can happily do melodic, harmony solo stuff to a good standard and i aim to improve my skills this year as i feel a little 'stuck in a rut". I have Gibson les paul custom , a bashed up old Strat , Mesa boogie dual rectifier amp, also 1970s Laney Klipp 100w with period Marshall cab (greeenback 25s) or a 1950's/60's Selmer Bassmaster 50 so fairly well equipped for most things. I am also a Drummer (not gigged for a few years as a drummer but try to keep my hand in, still have my kit) and play Bass so if you are in need, give me a shout, i'm up for most things. Also have my own semi pro studio, most equipment (electric drums, real drums, mics, amps, guitars, bass, mixers, cubase, ect) and am pretty good at mixing and music production. I am good with most people, pretty chilled and easy going really, just looking to do more music as playing in my current band has been a bit restrictive in some ways for me recently and i feel the need to expand! i have all my own gear, a handy van, willing to travel and i have access to rehearsal spaces with little or no charge so pretty handy really! I do love female vocals and would love to do song writing one on one. I can sing in tune if needed, never tried fronting a band but happy to give it a blast! probably more suited to harmony or backing though! I just need more music in my life! Lots of free time and ready to go! Based near Cambridge but willing to travel if i have to for the right thing. Get in contact if you think i can fill that gap for you, always worth a punt!
