Hi guys!
Unfortunately our current guitarist may or may not be emigrating later this year. The chance alone means we have to start looking for a replacement. Anyone new will be given priority in whatever circumstance comes to fruition.
We’re looking for someone to join our new three piece band Rind Skank with an option to join our other projects Tricore & An Entire Legion if they wanted. Rind Skank incorporates rock/metal/electronic/dance and merges them into its own thing. It’s heavy, melodic but also pretty simple & raw. We’re after a skilled guitarist who frankly should find most the parts in Skank fairly simple to play, once learnt. Strong rhythm skill required. The band consists of guitar, bass & vocals. Beats & synths are provided by a backing track which obviously on a good club system sound phat as fook. We may introduce acoustic drums at some point but wish to remain a three-piece for now.
For us this is about playing distinctive music, having a tight sound, putting on great performances & having a f*ck ton of fun rocking out. Having commerciality but maintaining integrity and avoiding becoming just another “scene” band by keeping things unique. This is a serious project and we are looking to take things as far as possible so are not looking for hobby players or those tied down with time-consuming responsibilities, other than a day-job of course. Time is the most valuable thing. You’ll want to ideally make a career out of music and will pro-actively want to work towards that aim.
Male or female welcome. Aged early twenties to early thirties. You will need decent show-worthy equipment and most likely a seven-string guitar as we are currently tuned to drop – A. Transport is pretty much a must. We currently rehearse twice a week in Woking & Horsell. This can go up and down depending on what’s coming up for the band. If you’re a little further afield feel free to drop us a line in any case.
If you’re interested please contact us, providing a demo, vid, sample of you playing. Cheers!
