Hi All,
I am Dan, a vocalist from Hertfordshire and together with a friend of mine who plays bass and guitar, we are looking to form a cover band in support of a mental health charity where 50% of any profits go towards the charity.
We are looking to play covers within the genres of Hard Rock / Post-Hardcore / Metal with a theme to include popular songs that people typically relate to when suffering from mental health or are coming out the other side. But also chucking in some general fan favourites as well.
Having been someone who struggled many years with not feeling like I could talk about what I had bottled up for so many years, to finally being pushed so close to the edge that I had to speak out and seeing the huge impact that had for me in improving my mental health. I understand how important it is for people to be able to feel like they can speak out and there is no better way for people to express their emotions comfortably than through music.
So I'd like to get to a point where we can do 2 hour sets for people to enjoy a full night of expressive music and scream out how they feel as much as they want to blow off some steam and dance like they are free.
We are in our thirties so ideally like to find others between 25 up to 40 just so we are more likely to fit in together.
For now my friend hasn't yet decided whether to do bass or rhythm guitar, so it depends on who else we find. So for now, we will say we are looking for a drummer, guitarist, bassist and scream vocalist (I can't scream and having this option would increase our song pool).
If you want to help raise money and more awareness for mental health and speaking out whilst having a damn good time performing live music then drop me a message!
