Hi all
My band are currently looking for a vocalist to complete our lineup. We are a pop-punk/alternative band with influence ranging from classic pop punk (blink 182, green day, good charlotte etc) to newer pop punk (a day to remember, state champs, neck deep etc). We have songs written, and are planning to record a demo after xmas.
We all used to be in a Sheffield band together but all had to leave for various reasons, but we got back together over the summer, one beer after another led to us starting a new band. Between us we have vast experience across the Sheffield/Yorkshire/UK music scene, including supporting Funeral for a Friend during there final UK tour, and also playing infront of 70,000 people at Temple Newsham in Leeds (i have pictures).
We all have a various work and family commitments but we do try and get together as often as possible, usually once a week. When we started the band, we wanted it to be fun, we didn't want anyone to feel like they didn't have a say or feel bad if commitments meant they couldn't practise or gig. However we are looking to get as far as we can, as every musician says, make something of it. We are looking for someone who wants to have fun making music, and someone who is open minded.
We normally practise at practise sheffield, but we also practise usually once a month in Castleton. We have been toying with the idea of our own practise rooms but we wanted to complete our lineup first. Your own transport would be a great advantage.
So yeah, if anyone is interested, hit us up, best to do it on here, i am on Facebook (Tom Bland) but sometimes i forget to check messages, looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers
Tom/Dave/Sam/Jamie
