Experienced, mature but energetic Bass player seeks to start a versatile pub / festival / function band. I'm Kit and wheels ready.
In these current times rehearse / share sets virtually until lockdown sorted? Will arrange live rehearsals when ready to suit all.
My idea:
In an ideal world the Band will have the following members:
- Singer (Male) sharing main parts (backing vox too)
- Singer (Female) Sharing main parts (backing vox too)
- Bass Player / backing vox = taken..
- Synth / piano player - arpeggiator - Samples / backing vox
- Drums (Electronic kit would be nice) - capable of playing a range of styles / backing vox
- Guitar lead / rhythm - posibly 2 guitars? / backing vox
- Percussion / backing vox
Please apply - I know its asking a lot but we might as well aim high to start and backing vocals would be great if you can - we have time it seems.
Not adverse to using technology to get the right sounds, samples, click tracks as long as its about making us sound / look great. I'm also very much into making a show together and being professional.
I would like to be in a band that doesn't stop after every number to wait for applause and then lose the vibe so a slightly different approach to playing set lists. Keep them up and interested - Mainly 'Non stop' mini set lists reflecting best dance numbers of the period adaptable to suit the gig, time allowed etc.
As an idea within this I would like to give a nod to the bigger well known bands during gigs (like stars on 45 but much better) so a number of shortened versions of their hits 'back to back' - will take some work but can be great fun too. This would cater for pubs/ functions / weddings, differing age groups and in my experience will keep things going.
So hits from for example:
50, 60s, 70s, 80s bands to more recent - particularly for me - The Police, Bowie, Cream, Beatles, Genesis, SKA mix, britpop, indie, general pop hits - theres so many! - whatever is agreed by band.
If this sounds like you and you're interested in getting something together around this - please contact me privately.
Age not an issue, but obviously experience and capability will be important though. I will be pushing the band once ready and would llke to gig often
**Please send a link to your recent stuff - unfortunately you will not be considered unless you send a recent video / audio clip to show your skills**
Many thanks
