Hi All,

I'm looking for people to jam with/ hopefully form a band with. I've been playing guitar for about 4 years so sort of a reasonable standard (I think!) No big ambitions but it would be good to learn to play better and ideally get a few gigs eventually. I'm mid-40s hence the no desire to 'make it' - just work hard and have fun doing it. I haven't been in a band before but have jammed with others. I've got good gear and transport etc. The sort of music I want to play is classic rock/blues/bit of funk/smidgen of jazz sort of thing - Allmans, Steely Dan, ZZ Top, Stones, Led Zep etc. That type of thing. So, another guitar, drums, bass, keyboards or some combination of that would be ideal. No plans at the moment as to where and when to practice - just take it as it comes really. I work full time so that's an obvious limit. I'm not looking for virtuosos (I'm certainly not!). Just people who are easy to get along with and want to play music and have a bit of a laugh.

Cheers,

Calum

Hi Calum,
I have been playing the guitar in a duo (BJ and the Kipper) for the last 10 yrs playing around the pubs etc and looking to try something new, (I am a bit older than you so please don’t hold that against me).
I enjoy the same sort of music as you mentioned and it would be good to have a go at doing it.
If you need any further information just let me know and I get straight back.
Regards
Colin
