Our band are looking for a bassist to join into our threesome, to make it a foursome.
Singer, Guitarist and Drummer - long-term friends who haven't had the best of luck with bassists. We're aged 25-30 and whilst someone in that age bracket would be preferred 18-30s would be absolutely fine. We've had our drummer disappear on travels for a good chunk of the past year, so now he's finally back we're now ready to try and get things moving as they've been stagnant for far too long!
We need someone who is committed to meet up for regular jams in the Bournemouth Garden/Westbourne area (often acoustic for songwriting sessions) as well as weekends/late evenings for "live" practices at Absolute Music in Poole. We're also extremely sociable, as at the heart of it we're good friends - so you'd need to fit with us on a social level and not just be "our bassist"
It goes without saying you'll need to be a competent player, with the ability to contribute to writing at least your parts on original songs.
Currently got 5 songs in the pipeline (with more to follow), of which a couple need some finishing touches, but we're pretty much ready to go with an EP recording, playing etc. once stuff has been finalised. We have some good connections too (producers, managers, bands etc.) so we'd hope to start playing some gigs soon also.
To give you an idea to our tastes - we've previously practiced to songs by Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, Patent Pending, Panic!, Arctic Monkeys, Less Than Jake, Yellowcard - but we don't want to fall into a complete "pop punk" noise. These songs have primarily been to keep us active. Our own songs seem to head toward a more "pop" vibe overall.
Ping me a message if interested!
Many thanks - Chris
