Are you a bassist? Do you like playing bass lines that seduce people?
I am a singer/songwriter and rhythm guitarist looking to start a new band. I'm based in south west London but I happy to travel depending on where. We practice in Earlsfield, shepards bush
I want us to sound like a grunge/alt-rock/hard-rock band with elements of stoner rock folk/prog/psychedelia but GRITTY!!! Everything that makes a band sound delicious.
My main influences are :
PJ Harvey, Queens of the Stonage, Deftones, Them Crooked Vultures and the Dead Weather, Dessert Sessions
Other influences:
Wolfmother, Mastadon, Eagles of Death Metal, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Hole, Pixies,
Garbage, Spinerette(or anything Brody Dalle touches), Elysian Fields, Fiona Apple, Portishead, Tool, A perfect circle, system of a down.
I have found a drummer and a guitarist already, so you would be the final piece in the puzzle.
Initially I would need us to practice once a week, and once we start gigging we would be meeting atleast twice a week so if you have a job that needs you to commit nights/weird irregular hours/taking time off isn’t easy, then this is unfortunately not for you.
Jamming with other people is cool, as an artist I understand that but if you are in another serious band that would clash with dates then it wouldn’t be ideal.
I need people who want to get their hands dirty and get involved in everything, merch, media, booking gigs, I want people to get excited about dressing the stage up, face paint, the whole performance. I need people who are responsive. I want people I can be unafraid, loud and proud with.
Preferred ages: 25-28 but obviously if this really sounds like your thing get in contact anyway.
If you are looking for an amazing you project to really sink your teeth into, if you enjoy the satisfaction of playing a tasty riff then please get in contact ASAP
Finally, I am a woman, I am brown and I am queer. I don’t need to meet any misogynistic, racist douche-bags anytime soon, so I am making it easy on myself.
