I'm putting together a new party band with the intention of gaining a contract on a cruise ship via Landau Entertainment. I have been speaking to an agent from Landau and he is waiting for me to confirm all members of the band and send over the promo material. I now have everyone except a bass player!
I'm looking for a male bass player who can also sing some lead vocals. The band will have a female lead singer who will sing most stuff, but we'll need someone to split some of the vocal duties.
You must be well versed in different styles of popular music.. we cover anything popular and contemporary from the 50's to now: rock n' roll, disco, motown, 60's, classic rock, top 40, 80's pop, funk, soul, etc. etc.
We will perform an average of 3 or 4 x 45 minute sets per day, with occasional days off.
You'll probably need to get a US C1D visa and a full PEME Medical Certificate (or equivalent) which cost money - but we won't need to sort those out until a contract is secured, so don't worry about it just yet.
Previous experience isn't required, I don't mind taking on new people. You get paid to play music and travel the world, it's an amazing job, and a great way of saving money as all flights, accommodation and food is provided.
Pay will be around $2000+ per month, and could potentially be a lot more. Usually, if a band stays with a cruise line you can negotiate a raise after each contract. I'm thinking of this as a long term, full time job. We can make a good living doing this.
Rehearsals will be taking place up north, somewhere around Leeds/Manchester.. I don't really mind where you're based, but you're gonna need to be willing to travel.
First thing is to get promo material done. The sooner we can make that, the sooner I can send it to the agent and the sooner we can get a contract.
If you're at all interested, please get in touch.. and don't hesitate to ask any questions if you have them!
Thanks!
