Im early 40s guy into doing some alternative(grunge) rock, influenced by sound garden and alice in chains, i play guitar but would be keen to lay down vocals like Jerry Cantrell does to assist with the sound and harmony. On guitar Im a fairly seasoned pro with all my own kit and transport but been out a band and pretty keen to get back into it.
Can include a lot more typical rock and metal covers, with more interesting contempory songs (less well covered) thrown in for fun. but not a function band
Would like to collaborate with any singer+guitarist ( or just singer) male or female is irrelevant, though a high octave power singer was what I had in mind -
with mind to do more complex covers with backing/ harmony for a really nice sound ( with as few people as possible, meaning harder work but more reward), and tricky guitar work is what I had in mind.
I will do the tricky stuff, happy to be backed up with rythm guitar behind, mix and match guitar harmony work etc. My aim was to play guitar but aim to add some vocals to help with the sound, note I am stil exploring my singing capabilities though and not confident to do full vocals but far from not tone deaf ! Just more baritone and learning to get higher out of my voice I have felt has been frustrating but been developing this and surprised myself ( not 4 octave chris cornell but definitely improving lol )
Looking to get started with either a singer or singer and guitar, or even a rythm section of bass/drummers to get something going, we can worry about adding other members later was really into some momentum to get something going/ any enjoy jamming firstly more than anything ?
Thanks for looking
